Daily flights from Johannesburg arrive at and depart from Ulusaba airstrip, situated a short drive from the lodges.
Daily flights between Johannesburg and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport can also be organized, followed by a road or air transfer to the lodge of your choice.
By Road
Exeter can be reached via a 5-hour drive from Johannesburg. The roads between the two locations are well-maintained and can be travelled in a two-wheel drive vehicle.Self-drive directions from Johannesburg
Take the N12 / N4 from Johannesburg to Nelspruit. From Nelspruit, take the R40 to Hazyview, and continue on to the R536 from Hazyview towards Paul Kruger Gate. Travel 33km along the Paul Kruger Gate Road and follow the Newington Gate until you see the Sabi Sands Game Reserve sign posts on the left-hand side.
After you have taken this turnoff you will travel 25km on a dirt road to the reserve. Keep driving until you get to a large four way intersection, where you will turn right and follow the Newington Gate sign. Travel 1,4km along this road until you get to a T-junction. Turn left at the T-junction, there will be another sign board for Newington Gate.
Travel 800m along this road. You will see signboards indicating Exeter game lodges on the left-hand side of the road. Turn left here.
Travel a further 1km along this road. Do not turn off at any point and continue until you see the entrance gate to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Enter at this gate.
Once you are inside the reserve, turn left immediately and follow the signs to the correct camp.
