Leadwood Lodge is located in the Dulini Private Game Reserve, South Africa, and forms part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. African wildlife is able to roam freely between Dulini Private Game Lodge, Sabi Sand Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park.
Guests can access Leadwood Lodge easily from Johannesburg either by car or air. Fly from OR Tambo International Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) before being transferred to Leadwood Lodge. The drive from Johannesburg will take between 5 to 6 hours depending on traffic.
From Johannesburg, take the N12 / N4 towards Nelspruit. From Nelspruit, take the R40 towards the town of Hazyview. Once you arrive in Hazyview, take the R536 towards the Paul Kruger Gate. After driving for about 34km (21.12 miles) look out for signs indicating the private game lodges such as Dulini on the left hand side of the road.
Turn into the dirt road at the signs and drive for about 8.2km (5.09 miles). Pass the school located on the left hand side of the road. Continue until you reach a large four-way intersection. At the intersection, turn right.
Drive 1.4km (0.86 miles) until you reach a T-junction. Turn left at the T-junction and drive for about 800m (0.49 miles). You will see the signboards indicating Dulini game lodges on the left hand side of the road. Turn left here.
Drive another 1km (0.62 miles) and enter the entrance gate to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. You will have to pay an entrance fee per vehicle. Once you've entered the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, turn left immediately. Drive past the turnoffs to Savanna, Castleton, Singita and Idube. Once you've passed the Idube sign, you will see the signboards for the Dulini game lodges. Follow the signs to Leadwood Lodge.
